NHS COVID & Flu Vaccination Service
We're pleased to continue supporting the NHS by offering free COVID vaccinations for eligible adults aged 18 and over at Hedon Pharmacy. If you qualify, you can get your NHS COVID jab with us - simple, convenient and close to home.
Autum COVID-19 vaccination
The Autumn COVID-19 booster service is now open at Hedon Pharmacy. Book your NHS COVID booster if you are eligible, or choose a private booster all year round.
Appointments are simple, convenient and close to home. Vaccinations run from 1 October 2026 to 31 January 2027.
You can get a free NHS COVID-19 vaccine if you are:
- Adults aged 75 years and over
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- Individuals aged six months and over with clinical immunosuppression
Flu vaccination
The NHS flu vaccination is free at Hedon Pharmacy if you are in an eligible group. Private flu jabs are available to everyone else.
You can get a free NHS flu jab if you are:
- Aged 65 or over
- Pregnant
- Living with a long-term health condition, such as asthma, diabetes, heart, lung, kidney or liver disease
- Living with a weakened immune system
- Living in a care home
- The main carer for an older or disabled person, or receiving a carer's allowance
- Living with someone who has a weakened immune system
- A frontline health or social care worker
Free MenB vaccine for young people
Hedon Pharmacy is taking part in the NHS time-limited MenB vaccination campaign for young people.
Who is eligible?
- Born on or after 21 July 2001 and starting university or residential further education this autumn
- Born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008
- Service runs from 20 July 2026 until 31 March 2027
- Given as 2 doses at least 4 weeks apart
Getting your first dose early gives you time to be fully protected before term starts.
NHS COVID vaccination eligibility
You may be eligible for a free NHS COVID booster if you fall into one of the following groups:
- Adults aged 75 years and over
- Residents in care homes for older adults
- Individuals aged six months and over with clinical immunosuppression

You can still protect yourself with a private COVID booster at Hedon Pharmacy. Available year-round for adults who want peace of mind ahead of travel, work or seasonal changes.
